Tai Chi for Rehabilitation (TCR) is a therapeutic exercise that is safe and efficient for a variety of patients and settings throughout the rehabilitation process. TCR is created by physician Dr. Paul Lam and is approved by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Tai Chi has a growing body of medical research with significant findings, proving efficacy as an evidence based practice. 15.5 CEUs
This hybrid workshop (part online, part in-person) emphasizes Tai Chi and Qigong principles of movement and the benefits of these principles as evidence based therapeutic intervention. You will learn the six basic principles of Tai Chi through simple Tai Chi form and QiGong movements to utilize with your patients of various diagnoses for therapeutic intervention.

*Level II builds on the Level I course: Tai Chi for Rehabilitation (TCR I). You will gain an in depth understanding of Tai Chi principles as they apply to therapeutic application and benefit. This workshop is interactive, engaging the participants in novel motor tasks to better understand the key components of motor planning. There is an emphasis on neurological underpinnings of motor planning as well as problem solving strategies for various deficits. 7 CEUs
